Tiger Mania

RARE WHITE TIGERS TO BE FEATURED AT UPPER STATE FAIR

TIGER & ELEPHANT SHOWS DAILY ON THE MIDWAY
(look for posted times and announcements on the Fairgrounds)

Fairgoers will have an opportunity to witness the unique and trusting relationship between man and the magnificent and rare tabby and white tigers during Frisco's Animal Attractions tiger shows at the Upper South Carolina State Fair . Children of all ages will see eight tigers, ranging in age from 17 months to 9 years old, "at play" with their handlers – wrestling, jumping, and pouncing with their trainer. The Tigers will thrill the crowds as they act more like house pets than ferocious hunters as they receive belly rubs and scratches.

These rare white & tabby tigers, considered an endangered species and numbering less than 1,600 in the wild, are native to the grasslands and swamplands in certain areas of Bangladesh, Nepal, India and Burma.

According to Mr. Frisco, four different colors of Bengal tigers exist in the wild including the standard brown and black striped tiger, the white tiger with black stripes, the extremely rare golden tabby with reddish stripes and a snow white cat with very faint stripes.

Mr. Frisco has worked with all the animals since birth, nurturing their development and earning their trust and respect.

"I think of these guys as my kids, and I give them love, respect, trust and compassion," Frisco said, "and I get those from the cats in return."

The show is designed to display the animals' natural beauty and athleticism while educating audiences on their plight in the wild and conservation efforts on their behalf.

Educational and entertaining programs will be presented free of charge daily at the 2010 Upper SC State Fair. Check on the Fairgrounds for showtimes or listen for show announcements on the Fairgrounds prior to each Tiger Show.
