DOWN ON THE FARM

The 'Down on the Farm' exhibit at the South Carolina Upper State Fair will give Fairgoers an opportunity to see what a real farm looks like, with a host of barnyard animals from the cute and cuddly to the not so cute and not so cuddly taking up residence in the Upper State Fair Agricultural Arena for the 11 day run of the Fair. In addition to frolicking kid goats and sheep and the younger variety barnyard creatures that most Fairgoers will be familiar with, the exhibit will also host rare and unusual farm animals never before showcased at the annual Upstate classic.

Fair regulars such as Holstein and Jersey cows, ponies, miniature donkeys, and assorted sheep and goats will naturally be in attendance, but newcomers to the Fair such as an assortment of Rheas, which are kin to the Ostrich, a Vietnamese Potbellied Pig, and a Long Horn Steer will bring a brand new level of educational experience for Fairgoers. Ever seen a 400 plus pound Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig? You'll get your chance at the South Carolina Upper State Fair to do exactly that.
