Playworld Amusements will be making a return appearance at the Upper South Carolina State Fair, offering upstate Fairgoers a brand new experience, new and exciting thrill rides and an expanded star spangled midway. With the addition of PLAYWORLD AMUSEMENTS as the amusement ride provider for the Upper South Carolina State Fair, we can say with confidence that Fairgoers are in for an 'ALL NEW' experience at the annual Upstate Classic. Thanks to PLAYWORLD AMUSEMENTS...it will be 'THE ALL NEW' Upper South Carolina State Fair!
Evening falls at the UPPER SOUTH CAROLINA STATE FAIR, and the midway is about to be magically transformed into a dazzling array of lights and sounds as the Upstate Classic puts on her 'evening face' and gets ready to play host to thousands of upstate Fairgoers.

OK, a word of advice...THE ZIPPER is not for the faint of heart. As a matter of fact, the long running B93 'DATE NIGHT' usually ends with couples opting out after a spin or two on the famous (or infamous) ZIPPER! It will twist and turn you in every possible direction, and we hope you have a strong stomach...you'll need it on THE ZIPPER, a long time Upper SC State Fair favorite...but...ask any seasoned Fairgoer to watch out for this one and...BE PREPARED! |
Ever wonder how it feels to travel into space? The ZERO GRAVITY 'ROUND-UP' will give you the same sensation experienced by astronauts as they leave the gravitational pull of the Earth. It will leave you 'weightless'.... And 'breathless'...all at the same time! ! |

A fair without a good Merry-Go-Round is like a CORNDOG without mustard. Who doesn't enjoy a SPIN on the Carousel, even JOHN CESSARICH from Channel 4 got in on the fun last year in his 'JOHN ON THE ROAD' segment. It's FAIR FUN for all ages, and a timeless South Carolina Upper State Fair classic, not to be missed! |
The UPPER SOUTH CAROLINA STATE FAIR has put the focus on the 'little ones' when PLAYWORLD AMUSEMENTS arrives and set up on the Upper South Carolina State Fairgrounds. There will be more rides for the KIDS than ever before, with a special emphasis on making sure 'the little ones' in the family have a wonderful time at the Fair.
There are posted height requirements on rides, and some of our youngest Fairgoers will require a parent or guardian to accompany them on a ride...such as a ride on a carousel pony aided and supported by Mom or Dad.
Individual ride operators will inform and assist in this area, so be sure to look for the posted safety information and follow the instructions of ride operators.
And, most importantly, get out there on the Fairgrounds and start making memories that will last a lifetime! KIDDYLAND will be a focus when the PLAYWORLD AMUSEMENT rides arrive for the 48th annual UPPER SOUTH CAROLINA STATE FAIR. It's bigger than ever, and kids will be thrilled at the never before featured amusements meant...just for them. Like the DIZZY DRAGON ride! |

Only to have the bottom drop out as they plummet you back to Earth in a breathtaking fall...all in a controlled drop, of course.
